OUR STORY

The roots of Ariadne date back to the mid-90´s when Dr. Willi Brammertz and his partner Dr. Winter founded IRIS (Integrated Risk Management AG) in Zurich. They were able to develop RiskPro, a successful ALM system sold to nearly 200 banks worldwide.

In 2008, Willi Brammertz wrote a book about the core ideas of financial analysis and risk management, published in 2009 by John Wiley with the title: “Unified Financial Analysis – The Missing Links of finance”. This book is recognized by the financial community as having a valid answer to important problems that ruptured in the 2008 crisis.

In 2010 he joined and significantly contributed to an effort which led to the formation of OFR (Office of Financial Research) followed by the open source project ACTUS (Algorithmic Contract Type Unified Standard).

Soon it became clear that, in order to make ACTUS operational for the benefits of financial industry, additional expertise and software was needed. ARIADNE was then established, to offer the full analytical range in the financial industry with ACTUS at the core of it.

OUR APPROACH

While solving complex problems in finance we always remind ourselves by reverting to the principle building blocks, which have proven so powerful in the last 30 years. On one hand, this reduces the complexity from an IT perspective. Yet on the other hand this is the secret of our capability to model and solve complex problems and represent them in an astounding simplicity. Treasurers, CRO´s, CFO´s or CEO´s all equally profit from the insight gained from our models.
